Pastor Jack Crabtree showed this video this morning during our Mother’s Day service. Fantastic!
A Grand Slam!
Last night our daughter hit her 3rd home run of the season – a grand slam! You can’t see on the video, but the ball rolled a long, long way! She was on 3rd before the outfielder finally retrieved it and threw it to the cut off. So proud of our little slugger!
Cinco de Mayo Theme Party at Youth Group
Sunday night we had a very fun time at Rock and Bridge. For fun we had a Cinco de Mayo theme night complete with mini sombreros and, of course, a piñata. Rather than blindfold kids and have them hit the piñata with a stick, we suspended it 20′ in the air and had kids take turns throwing a ball at it. Super fun!
Leader Lunch … Cinco de Mayo Style!
Yesterday was Cinco de Mayo – a Mexican holiday. It was also the day we had scheduled one of our SRC Student Ministries Leader Lunches. So, put the two together, and what do you get? A great day with friends eating a lot of Mexican food, prepared by my beautiful wife Adriana. What a fun time of fellowship followed by great dialogue about ministering to students.
Great Food For Thought Today …
To run and work the law commands,
Yet gives me neither feet nor hands;
But better news the gospel brings;
It bids me fly, and gives me wings.
