Natalia has had several home runs over the past few years, but this one takes the cake … her first over-the fence home rune! A 175 bomb over the right center field fence! She narrowly missed her coach’s car, and she told Natalia, “I park over there because I’ve never seen a 14 U player hit one that far.” lol! Way to go Big Squig!

Recap and Pics from Claudia’s Miss Teen NY Pageant
Thank you to all of you who supported and were following Claudia’s journey to participate in the Miss Teen New York 2016 pageant. We were very impressed with how she embraced this challenge and how she carried herself with such class. This was her first attempt at anything like this, and although she did not make it into the final 15, she did a tremendous job, and won an award for Outstanding Interview during the closing night competition. This was a great confidence-building experience and she learned so much. We are proud of our girl! She’s a winner in our eyes. On the way home, we were sure to stop and get her her very own crown. (I’m a youth pastor, it’s just what we do. We love to celebrate our kids!)
Happy 18th Birthday to Claudia!!!!
Happy Birthday to my very beautiful daughter Claudia! I can’t believe you are 18 today! I love you with all my heart! You have always brought great joy to my heart. You are sweet, kind, funny, caring, artistic, musical, creative, loving, and so much more! I am so glad that the Lord brought you into our lives. We are so much better for having known you, and I am so excited about all that the Lord has in store for you this year and beyond. Fix your eyes on Jesus and run hard after Him! Live today in light of eternity.
Christmas with the Mahaffys
We are enjoying having my Mom and Dad with us for Christmas this year. We enjoyed Christmas Eve service at Shelter Rock Church, then had payaya at our favorite Spanish restaurant, and went to watch a movie. Christmas day was spent at home. And the day after Christmas we went into NYC to watch the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular with the Rockettes, followed by a walk up 5th Avenue, through Central Park, and a stop in Times Square.
Larkin Family Reunion
Last weekend we had the joy of attending the Larkin family reunion in Pennsylvania. 75 of us were there, 30 were missing, and there are 3 more on the way.

New Painting to Honor Grandparents: Legacy
In honor of my Grandma and Grandpa Larkin’s 60th Anniversary, I painted this rock to be presented to them at our family reunion this weekend. They have 8 daughters, 29 grandchildren, and 38 grandchildren (and one on the way). They have served the Lord faithfully and left (and are continuing to leave) a legacy all over the world as pastors and missionaries, and I am so blessed to call them my Grandparents.
